What is Conscious Napping?

Conscious Napping improves your natural ability to ‘consciously’ or intentionally address areas you want to improve, by allowing your ‘conscious’ mind to rest while the more powerful part of your mind, your subconscious mind, focuses on solutions and opportunities. Conscious Napping is a state of heightened awareness and focus that helps you awaken your full potential.

Have you ever driven from one place to another and not remembered how you got there? Your conscious mind took a little rest while the more powerful part of your mind got you there safely.

Have you ever concentrated so hard on trying to figure something out, only to to come up with nothing but frustration? Then all of a sudden when you were taking a walk, gardening, cooking, or doing something totally unrelated, the perfect answer or idea came to you? Once you let your conscious mind rest, the more powerful part of your mind figured it out.

Old Dogs New Tricks

It was once believed that you couldn’t “teach an old dog new tricks”, but research around neuroplasticity proves our brains are adaptive and ever changing. Every day science continues to show how the brain, mind and body are inextricably linked and that we have more control and influence over them than we previously imagined. Many neuroscience experiments show the brain cannot tell the difference between what is real, and what is vividly imagined. In fact, it is our thoughts and beliefs that shape our physical and emotional well-being and our behaviors. The subconscious mind is largely responsible for this ability to influence our bodies and behaviors. And science is demonstrating that the tools used by world-class athletes and titans of business – self-reflection, mindfulness, visualization, imagination and meditation – bring greater focus and awareness to enact purposeful change.

Conscious Napping blends these tools of science and art into an effective program to help you tap into the most powerful part of your mind so you can perceive things in a different and more productive way. With practice, you’ll release limiting beliefs, develop new and positive habits, take control of your life, and create the change you want to see. Once you’ve mastered the ability to Conscious Nap, it only takes minutes to do each day.

Want a Sneak Peek?

Get a sneak peak of your first step in learning how to Conscious Nap – Just breathe!

You instinctively know how powerful your breath is. You have probably told someone who was in distress to “Relax and take a deep breath.” Are you rolling your eyes? Seriously, the efficacy of a proper breath has strong science behind it! The vagus nerve is the longest and one of the most important nerves in your body. Proper breathing stimulates the vagus nerve at the base of your diaphragm to send a message to the brain to release calming chemicals. Because your body cannot produce stress chemicals at the same time it releases endorphins, properly using the 5,4,3,2,1 breathing technique can help you feel calm and in control.

Each module in the Conscious Napping programming starts with learning and practicing the 5,4,3,2,1 breathing technique. Get quiet and practice with this recording a few times. Focus on your relaxation. Practice this technique on your own every day without the recording: 5 breaths in a row, 5 times each day, for 5 weeks. You’ll create a new neural network (aka habit) and soon you’ll find that even at the first breath, your brain gives you the relaxation you desire.

In all of the Conscious Napping programs you learn how breathing is one way to release stress, decrease pain, sleep better, lose weight and stop using tobacco products.

Conscious Napping programs are constantly expanding to help people develop the mental models that increase personal performance and lead to a happier and healthier life.

We invite you to join us here on a journey of personal development and transformation – to awaken your potential, take control, and live the life that you imagine.
